Raspberry Pi announced price rises for its 16GB products: the 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 goes up by $80 to $385, and the 16GB Compute Module 5 by $40 to $425. Both increases take effect immediately. According to Tom's Hardware, the 16GB model cost $120 when it launched in January 2025.

CEO Eben Upton attributed the decision to "the steep rises in the cost of memory over the past two years" and said other computer makers have had to make similar decisions. The price of the 16GB Raspberry Pi 500+ desktop, at $485, is unchanged for now. About a month ago the 2GB Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 models also went up by $12.50.
