Nice, an Israeli software company based in Ra'anana and listed on Nasdaq and in Tel Aviv, announced it will lay off about 500 employees worldwide, about 5% of its workforce. According to its latest annual report, it had 9,626 employees at the end of 2025. Nice develops enterprise systems for customer service, contact center management and financial fraud prevention, and has expanded into cloud and AI in recent years.

In its announcement, the company said it is "changing how we organize and invest" to meet the needs of customers deploying CX AI at enterprise scale, and that the decision is necessary to position it for the future. It added that its immediate priority is to communicate directly with those affected and support them.

According to Globes, the cuts come as AI agents that handle customer service tasks on their own raise questions about the future of traditional contact center software, and Nice's shares have been under pressure over the past year on investor concerns about AI's effect on demand. According to Calcalist, the company is also seeking to reshape its business through acquisitions and asset sales. Nice did not say in which countries or units the layoffs will take place.
