The New York Times sues Brave, alleging it scraped its content and sold it to AI companies

The New York Times filed suit on Monday against browser company Brave, alleging it scraped its copyrighted content and distributed it to customers including Anthropic, Perplexity, Mistral, xAI and Cohere. Three other newspapers filed a similar suit.

Anthropic warns in its amended filing that it may soon reach its threshold for AI-accelerated progress

In the amended IPO filing (S-1A) it submitted on Monday, Anthropic added a risk-factor warning: according to internal estimates, it may soon meet its Responsible Scaling Policy's definition of "dramatically accelerated progress attributable to AI."
