According to TechCrunch, founders Andy Elder and Arjun Mathur spent about a decade at Palantir. The model, which they call "structural cognition", aims to generate structurally precise designs that also account for internal elements such as plumbing and HVAC, and is grounded in physics and building standards, unlike a language model producing an image of a building.

The company is already selling to professionals and developers, who use the model for early design and cost estimates, and it is deployed on 10 active projects in Texas and California. Motif, Snaptrude and Arcol also work in the field, and Dream claims it is the only one with a world model that designs an entire building. SV Angel, XYZ and Zigg Capital also took part in the round.
