Netflix is adding a new tab called AI Discover to its TV app, where the company will show experimental AI-powered features for finding shows and movies. According to The Verge, the first experiment suggests content by themes such as "Something Light," "Family Movie Night" or "Quick Watches." If viewers dislike a recommendation, they can say so and the app will remember.

Netflix says the feature runs on "a new intelligence layer" that responds in real time to what members tell it and keeps learning. The tab will appear in the top menu as "Discover," and the rollout is starting gradually in the US for members who use Netflix in English on supported TVs.

The launch comes shortly after Netflix laid off about 1,000 employees amid slowing growth and reports that members are watching the service less.
