According to CTech Data's 2026 deal list, nine acquisitions of Israeli companies were signed in October, close to the average of 8.7 a month across the first ten months of the year (87 deals). By value, the month stands out: the seven deals with a stated or estimated price add up to about $8.9 billion, compared with about $4.8 billion in June, the next-largest month.

Two deals account for $8.6 billion of the total. On October 15, Proofpoint, owned by Thoma Bravo, agreed to acquire Varonis for $6.3 billion in cash, $49.75 a share, a 52% premium to the close before sale rumours began. On October 26, Intel agreed to buy Classiq for $2.3 billion in cash and stock, the largest acquisition of a quantum computing company to date.

Three of October's deals were for companies with 17 employees or fewer. Rocket Software bought Geniez AI, a six-person company that uses AI agents to manage mainframe systems, for up to an estimated $100 million, and Nebius bought Inferize, a 10-month-old company that reduces idle GPU capacity, for an estimated $100 million to $150 million.

The Varonis deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval. For some of the smaller deals the price was not officially disclosed, and the figures are estimates.
