Anthropic launches usage and cost reports, surveys and shared team budgets for Claude Enterprise

Anthropic announced three new tools for Claude Enterprise on Wednesday: smart reports showing what teams do with Claude and what it costs, in-app surveys, and pooled group budgets. The tools are generally available to Enterprise customers now.

Smart reports work like this: an admin picks a team, a date range and products, and Claude analyzes a sample of the team's transcripts and groups the work into workstreams. Each workstream shows its spend, deliverables and the most common points of friction, such as a missing connector or a failed tool call. Each report includes a list of recommendations, such as recurring workflows to turn into skills. Anthropic says the reports are not meant for evaluating individual performance or making employment decisions, and according to TechCrunch the company won't use the data for model training by default.

The surveys appear as a short card after a Claude reply and ask, among other things, about the most valuable thing someone has done with Claude recently and what would break if access stopped. Pooled group budgets give a team one monthly amount instead of only individual limits; member limits still apply, and a request stops at whichever runs out first. Admins with billing permissions receive email alerts at 50%, 75%, 95% and 100% of a budget.

TechCrunch notes the launch comes ahead of Anthropic's planned IPO, and that figures it shared with investors show 900% net revenue retention between the third quarter of 2025 and that of 2026. Availability varies by configuration, including for organizations with a HIPAA configuration or customer-managed encryption keys; pricing and availability for other plans were not specified.
