According to Globes, existing investors Greylock, Cyberstarts, Craft, Salesforce Ventures, TCV, Leaders Fund and others also took part, along with a new investor, Canapi Ventures. In January the company was valued at $1.5 billion. Upwind's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has quadrupled since the start of 2026, and is estimated at $80 million or more for the year.

Upwind describes its product as a cloud and AI security platform that combines context from cloud workloads, APIs and client-side agents. Its customers include Nubank, Carvana, Roku and ClickUp. The company recently acquired Israeli AI security startup Aegis. Its co-founder and CEO is Amiram Shachar.

Globes reports that Datadog offered to acquire the company for $4 billion, and that the offer was turned down because the founders and investors expect its value to keep rising. In September CTech reported a raise of about $300 million at the same $3.8 billion valuation; the reports do not explain how the two amounts relate, or whether the valuation is pre- or post-money.
